Alexandre Lacazette notched a brace as Lyon came from two goals down to beat Lorient 4-2 after extra-time to reach the French League Cup final.

Innocent Emeghara and Kevin Monnet-Paquet put the hosts in control on Tuesday but late efforts from Lacazette and Jimmy Briand forced the additional half hour.

Bafetimbi Gomis and Lacazette then struck in added time to seal victory and set up a final clash with holders Olympique Marseille or Nice - who play on Wednesday - at the Stade de France on 14th April.

Lorient started better but had to wait until the 59th minute to take the lead, Emeghara dribbling past defender Cris to score.

Monnet-Paquet made it 2-0 in the 68th minute when the Lyon defence failed to clear in the area, leaving the midfielder free to beat keeper Hugo Lloris with a powerful angled drive.

Lyon's rearguard looked vulnerable throughout and they came close to conceding a third when Maxime Barthelme's shot was cleared off the line by Anthony Reveillere.

But Lacazette pulled one back for the visitors with a low drive from just inside the box with ten minutes remaining to spur Lyon into action.

France striker Briand headed the equaliser at the death to force added time and the visitors then went in front when Gomis benefited from a defensive error to beat keeper Benjamin Lecomte from close range in the 102nd minute before Lacazette completed victory in the dying seconds.
