Ligue 1 outfit prepared to offer ex-Arsenal forward a helping hand
Lorient have expressed an interest in Jeremie Aliadiere, who has been without a club for 12 months.
The former Arsenal and Middlesbrough forward dropped into the free agent pool last summer, but was unable to find himself a new club.
A serious injury picked up while training with West Ham severely hindered his cause, but he is hoping his fortunes will turn in 2011/12.
Aliadiere admits he is willing to explore the possibility of returning to his native France and has hinted that a deal with Lorient could be in the pipeline.
Potential
He said: "I want to relaunch my career.
"I never fulfilled my potential because of injuries. I have been unlucky and I have never had the opportunity to play regularly.
"I have also been unfortunate to be part of squads that have had world class strikers.
"Lorient would be a fantastic opportunity for me, but nothing is done yet."
