Serie A strugglers Catania have confirmed the loan signings of Ezequiel Schelotto and Gonzalo Bergessio.
Catania went in search of reinforcements prior to Monday's transfer deadline after being sucked back into the relegation battle in recent weeks.
They managed to secure the services of the versatile Schelotto, who can play at right-back or on the wing and was also linked with Parma and Juventus.
Schelotto is owned by Serie B side Atalanta but has been plying his trade with Cesena on loan for the first half of this season.
Argentina international Bergessio arrives from French side St Etienne to bolster Catania's attacking options, with both players signing until the end of the season.
Catania are without a win in six games and are currently just two points above the bottom three.
