Argentine midfielder looking forward to move

Monaco have agreed a deal to sign Alejandro Alonso from Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux. An undisclosed fee has been settled between the two clubs, with Alonso to pen a three-year contract upon the completion of a medical. The Argentine midfielder is looking forward to working with coach Ricardo again after spending the past three seasons at Bordeaux. "The presence of Ricardo, who was my coach for two years in Bordeaux, was an important element in my arrival," Alonso told the club's official website.

Big desire

"I come here with a big desire to work, grow and adapt to the place. Monaco is a very important place for me. "I spoke with Leandro Cufre and Lucas Bernardi, they comforted me in my choice and their presence will help further my adaptation, which I hope will be as soon as possible. "Monaco has been able to trust me, I know that a lot is expected of me from the club and supporters. I really want to answer this!"
