Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has signed a new contract to stay at the French club until the summer of June 2017.

The Nigeria international's previous deal had not been set to expire until 2015, but Lille have moved to secure his services for an additional two years.

Enyeama had reportedly attracted the attention of several other clubs, including Arsenal, and has drawn particular attention over the past few weeks after a staggering run of clean sheets.

Simon Kjaer's own goal against Bordeaux on Sunday was the first time he had conceded in 1062 minutes, ending his chances of breaking Gaetan Huard's Ligue 1 record of 1176 minutes.

The 31-year-old is delighted to be staying at Lille, telling the club's official website: "I am very happy to be part of this team and that is why I was happy to sign my new offer.

"I want to help the team reach the top now and for years to come. I adore this team and this club also I am in love with the fans of this club."
