French starlet Marvin Martin has signed a new contract at Sochaux, but he says the club have promised to let him leave next summer.

But no agreement reached with Maiga or Anin

French starlet Marvin Martin has signed a new contract at Sochaux, but he says the club have promised to let him leave next summer. The 23-year-old playmaker attracted a lot of interest in the summer, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger a known fan. But Martin never pushed for a move and as a result of this, Sochaux have rewarded his stance with an extension to 2015, and improved wages. Martin admits he is delighted to sign, but admitted that an agreement was in place for him to leave at the end of the current campaign. "We had good talk and we found an agreement," he told L'Equipe. "The officials made a promise. Indeed, an agreement to let me leave. I will remain at Sochaux until the end to the season." Sochaux also held talks with rebels Kevin Anin and Modibo Maiga - who both refused to play in August as they were unhappy with the club not allowing them to move. Chairman Alexandre Lacombe has confirmed his happiness with Martin, but admitted that no agreement with Anin or Maiga was forthcoming. "We are very happy. Marvin showed his exemplarity, and it is the kind of player we want to keep," he said. "Anin and Maiga? I tried but I didn't get any news."
