Roux won't rock the boat

Brest striker will not cause a fuss if move fails to materialise

Nolan Roux admits he has an agreement in place with Sochaux, but is prepared to remain at Brest. The 23-year-old forward has been the subject of two offers from Germany this summer. Both bids have been knocked back, as Brest have made it clear that they will not sell for less than €8million (£7m). Schalke have yet to meet that valuation, denying Roux the opportunity to make a move he is keen to see pushed through. For now he remains on the books at Brest and, as he is under contract, he insists he would be willing to see out another season with the French outfit if needs be.

Details

"I experienced a difficult period, but I have come to my senses," Roux told L'Equipe. "I wanted to meet my chairman and find out the details of my contract. "I have decided to train again and I am not against the idea of staying here for one more season. But I don't know what the future will be. "It is difficult. I had an agreement with Schalke, but it has not been sorted out and I don't know if it will be sorted out. "If I have to stay, I will stay and be no trouble. I can't cheat anyone and I will do my job the best I can."
