Lille's Jean Makoun has been relieved to discover that his knee injury is not as bad as feared.Despite only being ruled out for weeks rather than months after the original assessment, Makoun was worried that he had damaged his medial ligaments.
However, further investigation has shown no such harm, and Makoun should be back in contention within a month.
"We have been reassured that the injury is not serious," read a statement from the club.
"The medial ligaments have not been damaged."
Cameroon international Makoun has played more than any other player under coach Claude Puel this season.
