Werder Bremen have completed the capture of Sochaux defender Dusko Tosic.
Bremen boss Thomas Schaaf has been forced to seek reinforcements, as his injury-hit squad prepare for the new season.
With left-back Pierre Wome sidelined with injury, the Bundesliga side moved for the 22-year-old to solve their defensive problems.
Tosic has since put pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal, and club sport director Klaus Allofs says he is delighted with Werder's capture.
"We are delighted to have signed a combative, quick and versatile player, who already has plenty of international experience," he said.
Schaaf reiterated the success of the club's signing, saying: "Tosic is a young, dynamic player who has managed to catch the eye for both Sochaux and for his national team."
