Sochaux are close to completing the double signing of Beli-Moumouni Dagano and Mourad Meghni.

24-year-old striker Dagano joins from Ligue 2 side Guingamp, after the Burkina Faso international attracted a host of interest from Ligue 1 clubs.

Dagano has signed a four-year contract with les Lionceaux, worth a reported ‚é¼3 million.

Bologna forward Meghni is expected to join the Stade Bonal side on a season-long loan, with the option to make the agreement permanent next summer.

The 21-year-old passed a medical on Wednesday and expressed his delight at returning to his homeland.

Meghni told L'Equipe: "I am very happy to come back to France but it is very different to the Italian league.

"I have not spoken to coach Dominique Bijotat yet but he knows where I play on the pitch - I prefer to play just behind the forwards."

The double capture is expected to appease Sochaux's supporters who were disappointed after the summer sales of Wilson Oruma, Jeremy Mathieu, Sylvain Monsoreau and Santos.
