In-demand midfielder honoured to be linked with French champions
Clermont's in-demand midfielder, Romain Alessandrini, has admitted that he would welcome the opportunity to join Lille.
Having already notched five times in Ligue 2 this season, it is expected to be only a matter of time before the 22-year-old steps up into the top tier.
Various clubs are reported to be keeping a close eye on his progress, with his potential clear for all to see.
Lille are among those plotting a New Year approach, and Alessandrini says it would be impossible for him to turn down an opportunity to join the reigning French champions.

"Joining a club like Lille could only help me to improve," he told
RMC.
"For any player, the goal is to reach the top and play for a great club like Lille.
"It would be no trouble for me to join a big club like that. There are great players there, but why not me?"
Reports in France suggest Clermont will demand €10million (£8.4m) for Alessandrini when the winter transfer window opens.
