Rooney-less Three Lions hold no fear for Sweden

Sweden striker Ola Toivonen would welcome the chance to face an England team missing Wayne Rooney in the group stages of Euro 2012. The PSV Eindhoven star played in his country's defeat at Wembley in November, which was their first loss to the Three Lions since 1968. But Toivonen thinks England, who will be missing the suspended Rooney in the first phase of Euro 2012, would still be preferable to some of the continent's heavyweights. He said: "Of course, you want to avoid the best teams in Europe: Spain, Holland and Germany. "I think it's going to be hard, but if I had a wish, I would take England." He added: "It would be nice to play against England, without Rooney, during the first phase, while he is suspended. That is what we want. "So it would be good to have England as the big name in the group and then maybe Ukraine or Poland. "After that, I don't know. But one of those three would be good for us."
