Skipper pledges future to Dutch club

PSV Eindhoven captain Ola Toivonen has penned a two-year extension on his contract to keep him at the Philips Stadion until 2014. The Sweden international joined PSV from native outfit Malmo in January 2009, quickly establishing himself as first-team regular. His former deal was due to expire at the end of the season but the striker has now committed himself on a new contract. Toivonen has scored six Eredivisie goals this season to help PSV to second in the table. The skipper made his 100th first-team appearance for the club in May this year.
