Caen goalkeeper Alexis Thebaux has revealed that he has been in contact with Paris St Germain about a possible move to the capital.
The Ligue 1 giants are believed to be keen on signing the 26-year-old keeper to provide competition for Nicolas Douchez.
Thebaux is under contract at the Stade Malherbe for one more season and could be tempted by a move to the club, which has come into the money since a Qatar Investment Authority bought a controlling stake in the club.
"I do not close any doors. But, it is true that PSG are very interested," Thebaux told L'Equipe.
"It is a great club and an exciting challenge. I have matured and have a big room for improvement."
However, Caen chairman Jean-Francois Fortin is keen to extend the player's contract, saying: "I am waiting to hear back from Alexis after making him a proposition."
Meanwhile, PSG central defender Sylvain Armand is expected to miss the start of the season after suffering a knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Championship outfit Brighton in Portugal.
