Rennes captain Cyril Jeunechamp has begun his comeback from injury and expects to be playing again by April.
Jeunechamp suffered a knee ligament rupture for the second time in a year in October against Auxerre but is now eyeing a return to action for the latter part of the campaign.
"I have been running for a month and I am in full physical fitness without the ball. We have done a lot of work like we do in the pre-season," he told Ouest-France.
"The first time it happened, I thought it was a big injury, but this time I was a little bit more relaxed.
"I would love to come back at the beginning of April or middle of April. Being able to play in the last six or seven matches of the season would pay back the work I have done."
Jeunechamp is now hoping his future with the club will be injury free.
"I am still under contract for one season, until June 2008, because I signed an extension. But my immediate future is the next two months of this season," he added.
"Next year, I will do everything to experience a good season without injuries as I have just had two bad ones."
