Rennes defender Jacques Faty remains confident of a January move, but insists nothing has been decided yet.
The 22-year-old has already spoken of his desire to join Juventus in the summer, when his contract with the Ligue 1 club expires.
However, Faty will not rule out leaving Rennes this month if the right offer is made.
"While I am talking to you, I am sitting in the Rennes dressing room," Faty told Football365.
"Even if I had wanted to leave, I can't because Rennes have called me to a training session.
"At the moment, I have not planned a meeting to pen a contract with another club.
"If I sign a contract, I will do it soon. But nothing is decided yet."
Meanwhile, Rennes coach Pierre Dreossi is disappointed by the lack of motivation among his players in training.
"You have to wake up!" Dreossi is reported to have told his players.
"You are not even able to beat me. Next time you will play against the fans!"
Dreossi is hoping for a response from his players on the pitch after their 2-0 defeat at home to Marseille last weekend.
He told Ouest-France: "I want to make them react.
"I can't stand the fact that they accept defeats without reacting. They have to hate to lose."
