Monaco's decision to invest in youth in the close season appears to be bearing fruit with deals taking shape for both Yohan Gourcuff and Ronald Zubar.
The Principality outfit have decided that they need an injection of youth in the summer and have earmarked both players as possible arrivals.
Gourcuff, 19 years old, has enjoyed an excellent campaign for Rennes and on Sunday was in Monaco to visit the club's facilities and watch their game with Paris Saint Germain.
Caen defender Zubar is another who has enjoyed a productive campaign and is reportedly attracting interest across Europe.
The 20-year-old is believed to have concurred on an agreement with his paymasters, whereby he will be able to leave the club - for a fee in the region of é¼4 million - despite being under contract until 2008.
