Borussia Dortmund have confirmed they want to sign Swiss ace Alexander Frei.The Rennes striker has been linked with the German giants for a number of weeks, although he has refused to comment on the link.
However, Dortmund chairman Reinhard Rauball has now revealed that his club do indeed want to sign Frei to bolster their striking options.
"He is a player we are following for a long time now," said Rauball.
"The problem is his contract will only be over in 2007. But we will talk with his agent and his club to see what is possible."
