Rennes midfielder Kim Kallstrom was delighted after their 4-0 success over Bastia at the weekend that kept alive their InterToto Cup hopes.

The victory lifted the side to 10th in the table, and Kallstrom still believes playing in Europe is not beyond the realm of fantasy.

Kallstrom was pleased with the manner of the win, with the side lethal up front and dominating the opposition.

"We started well and converted our chances. We had complete control of the game and outplayed them," said Kallstrom to Sportbladet.

"Alexander Frei took a corner which I headed home. It felt nice. Just a few minutes earlier, I had a great chance from another corner."

Bastia's US international defender Greg Vanney believes the side's new formation forced too many players into unfamiliar positions.

"If I had scored, we would have been up 1-0 and perhaps it would have been interesting, but I don't think it would have changed the outcome," he said.

"Our problem was that we tried to play a different system than we do normally and we were out of position a lot.

"We didn't pressure them enough and they took advantage of the space. They deserved to win."
