Rennes coach Laszlo Boloni is ready to run the rule over Swedish international keeper Andreas Isaksson when Sweden take on England on Wednesday.

The Championnat side already have one Swede on their books in Kim Kallstrom, and the midfielder is keen for the 22-year-old to join the team.

Isaksson is set to start Sweden's international clash against The Three Lions and now the former Juventus man could be on the verge of a move to France.

Kallstrom is keen on Boloni to make a move for his close friend, saying: "I hope the coach will sign Andreas."

With the club's first choice keeper Petr Cech to move to Chelsea in the summer, Kallstrom believes Isaksson is good enough to fill the Czech Republic international's boots.

"At first, because I would be happy to have him with me at Rennes, but above all because, like Petr, he is a very great future keeper," he added.
