ANTHONY REVEILLERE'S transfer to Spanish champions Valencia is still far from being concluded and the club's dire financial situation could scupper the deal.
Valencia boss Rafa Benitez must sell players before he can land the talented French full-back and with Curro Torres currently injured, the need to tie-up the deal is of utmost importance.
Valencia are currently fourth in La Liga and are trying to raise the necessary é¼5 million Euros to lure the 23-year-old, who is also eligible for the Champions League, to the Estadio Mestalla from French side Rennes.
However, officials from the Spanish giants are struggling to give the bank reassurances and as a result the bank may not lend them the money to secure the deal before the transfer window closes at the end of January.
Spanish international right back Torres looks likely to be out for four to five weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage in his right knee during the Che's weekend draw with Real Sociedad.
After initial tests it was feared the Catalan-born defender might be ruled out for the remainder of the season.
However, Torres has been given the news he was praying for, and will not now have to undergo surgery to beat the problem.
