Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has ruled out the prospect of him leaving for pastures new in the January transfer window.

The France international has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Sunderland in the past, while reports of interest from Russia have recently emerged.

It has been suggested that the 29-year-old is a target for Dynamo Moscow, with their ambition having already delivered the signature of former Marseille man Mathieu Valbuena.

Mandanda, though, claims to be happy at Stade Velodrome.

He has helped Marseille to the top of the Ligue 1 standings and has every intention of seeing out the season with his current employers.

“Honestly, I won’t leave in January,” he told the club’s official website.

“I don’t want to leave, though it is true that anything can happen.

“You’re never sure you won’t be transferred or that I won’t be dropped or that I’ll get injured.

“In this line of work, you are never sure of anything.

“In my head, it’s clear that I don’t want to leave, and I certainly don’t want to leave in January."
