Didier Deschamps: Saw Marseille allow two points to slip through their grasp against Lyon

Didier Deschamps is refusing to give up on Marseille's title dream, but concedes that it will be extremely difficult for them to catch PSG.

Marseille saw a two-goal lead slip through their grasp against fellow title hopefuls Lyon on Sunday, with a 2-2 draw doing neither side any favours.

Stalemate on home soil leaves Deschamps' side 11 points adrift of league leaders PSG with 16 games remaining.

That is a sizeable gap to make up, with there no margin for error from this point on.

Deschamps concedes as much, with Marseille required to be perfect in their remaining fixtures if they are to snatch the Ligue 1 crown.

Positive

"I am disappointed because we deserved to lead 2-0 after 30 minutes of real quality," Deschamps said following the Lyon draw.

"It is not a great result because in our situation we need to win every match.

"We remain positive, but PSG are now a long way in front.

"Considering where we have come from, we can still dream, but I am not focusing on PSG."
