Andre-Pierre Gignac has been reinstated to the Marseille first team after apologising to coach Didier Deschamps.
The striker was suspended by the French club for their Ligue 1 game against Paris St Germain on Sunday after clashing with Deschamps last week.
Reports in the French media subsequently suggested that he could be offloaded during the January transfer window but Gignac has now apologised to his coach and earned back his place in the squad.
"The Marseille president Vincent Labrune and coach Didier Deschamps have met Andre-Pierre Gignac this morning," reads a club statement .
"Following the meeting, it has been decided that the player will be reintegrated into the first-team group on Wednesday morning having apologised."
Marseille won 3-0 against PSG at home and are now ninth in the league table with 21 points from 15 matches.
