Hertha Berlin general manager Dieter Hoeness has announced that on-loan Marseille striker Christian Gimenez will sign a contract with the club before Sunday's deadline.
The Argentine was loaned to Hertha at the start of the season following a disappointing first year at Marseille.
The former Basel forward has enjoyed more success in the Bundesliga, scoring nine goals so far.
Hertha have until 15th April to take up the option of signing Gimenez on a permanent basis, and Hoeness claims an agreement has been reached.
"We have found an agreement with Marseille. The negotiations suit us," Hoeness told AFP.
The details of the agreement have not been confirmed, but Hertha have previously expressed an interest in offering Gimenez a two-year contract.
