Cisse seeks goal-scoring relief

Marseille striker Djibril Cisse admits he will need to find his scoring form soon.

Marseille striker Djibril Cisse admits he will need to find his scoring form soon, for both club and country.

Cisse, who was booed in midweek by fans of the French national side, has endured a difficult time in recent years after suffering from two broken legs, but believes it is time he refound some of his scoring prowess.

"I have experienced booing at Marseille, at Auxerre too," admitted Cisse.

"In two years, I have been injured for almost 12 months, so being slightly booed won't affect me.

"I miss one chance, and everything will start again.

"I need a goal. As a striker, I can't be satisfied with my present efficiency.

"But I will improve and I won't give up."

With only three goals for his club this season, Cisse went on to admit that he will not be in a position to complain, should he be dropped to the bench.

"At Marseille, there is competition, and I have to accept it," he continued.

"If the coach put me on the bench, I would accept it."
