Mickael Pagis is looking forward to renewing Marseille's rivalry with Paris Saint Germain on Sunday.
PSG defeated L'OM in the final of last season's Coupe de France, but Albert Emon's side have started the new campaign brilliantly and will be confident of picking up three points in the French capital.
"It is a new season," Pagis told Marseille's official website. "The final we lost is in the past.
"The defeat hurt, but today is another story and this match will take place during a positive period for us."
Marseille are top of Ligue 1 after four games of the season but Pagis is refusing to get carried away by his team's flying start.
"The season is a long trip. We can't predict the future so let's focus on today," he explained.
"The Paris Saint Germain game is not crucial because the championship has only just begun.
"But we are going to play a very exciting clash. It is one of the matches a player dreams of."
