Nigerian defender Taye Taiwo claims he is close to sealing a move from Marseille to Valencia.
The stopper featured regularly for Marseille last term and his efforts caught the eye of a number of clubs.
The Che are looking to plug a hole left by the departure of Fabio Aurelio to Liverpool and it would appear as if Taiwo is their chosen target.
"As I talk to you, officials of Valencia are already in France to discuss my release," Taiwo told Kick Off.
"It is a good development to my young career as it will afford me the opportunity to acquire some knowledge about the Spanish league and get more exposure in the glamorous Uefa Champions League."
