French Under-21 international Ronald Zubar says he has settled in well at Marseille after making his debut for the club in the Intertoto Cup.
The 20-year-old defender opted for the Stade Velodrome ahead of Chelsea at the end of last season after deciding to leave Caen.
He has signed a four-year deal at l'OM and hopes the rest of his time will progress as promisingly as the first leg match against Dnipropetrovsk.
Zubar is hopeful the team can gel even further and overcome their Ukrainian opposition in the return leg, after a hard fought 0-0 battle at home.
"They didn't create good chances, but they are dangerous," he told the club's website.
"We have to keep in mind that it will be a difficult away match. Their fans will push, and will try to beat Olympique de Marseille.
"It is up to us to be solid, and to make a huge effort. We have to score and to try to keep the advantage.
"I have adapted pretty well. Everybody helped me and helped the other new boys. I hope this will continue in the same way.
"I am very happy about the situation."
