Ronald Zubar has explained why he chose to join Marseille.
The French Under-21 international moved to Stade Velodrome from Caen on Thursday.
"At Marseille, I felt everyone, from the chairman to the fans, wanted me to come," said Zubar.
"It is true last year I said I didn't want to join l'OM which was too unstable, but I have changed my mind. I want to play matches with big pressure every week.
"I have signed as a central defender."
Zubar insists the fact that Marseille are currently without a coach is not a major concern.
"I have thought a little to the fact there is no coach yet, but I don't want to ask me too many questions," he said.
"I have signed a four-year contract at l'OM, and that is just great."
Meanwhile, French sources suggest that Zdenek Zeman could be confirmed as Marseille's new coach over the weekend.
