Marseille's on-loan striker Andres Mendoza has returned to Metalurg Donetsk after failing to impress at Stade Velodrome.
L'OM chairman Pape Diouf revealed that the clubs had come to a satisfactory agreement while the Peruvian's immediate future may now lie in Moscow.
"We have found an agreement with Donetsk to terminate the loan. Metalurg could transfer him again to either Dinamo or Lokomotiv Moscow."
Young Marseille defender Khalifa Ba could also be set to move to Metalurg.
The 20-year-old, who has yet to figure for the Marseille first team, is reported to be close to agreeing a contract with the Ukrainians.
