Milan to use Serginho

Serginho looks to have played his way in to Milan's team to face Manchester United.

Serginho looks to have played his way in to Milan's team for Wednesday's clash with Manchester United.

The Brazilian wide man has been used sparingly this season but netted the decisive goal at the weekend against Cagliari, which saw Milan edge to the Serie A summit.

Prolific marksman  Andrei Shevchenko has been ruled out of the game due to fractures to both his cheekbone and eye-socket, while Filippo Inzaghi is already sidelined.

It is now expected that coach Carlo Ancelotti will use Hernan Crespo in a lone striking role with support offered by Kaka and Serginho - Andrea Pirlo will be employed in a holding position.

Ancelotti concedes that Serginho's form of late is forcing his hand, with the pacey forward now set to figure at Old Trafford.

''Utilising Serginho more, maybe in Manchester?'' said Ancelotti.

''It's an idea I have in mind. I think about it these days.''
