Experienced defender Frederic Dehu will be missing from Marseille's plans for up to a month.

Dehu injured his calf in training on Saturday and was forced out of the 3-0 victory over Lille on Sunday.

Marseille initially feared the 31-year-old would be sidelined for three weeks but it could prove to be an extra seven days.

The summer arrival from Paris Saint Germain has been pencilled in for his comeback against Sochaux on September 11 but this date may prove too soon.

L'OM coach Jose Anigo lamented the injury to Dehu and will rely on Brahim Hemdani to fill the void in his absence.

"It is an important calf injury that will last at least three weeks," admitted Anigo.

"It is a real bad blow but we must be able to take on the absence of a player in the group during that time."
