Marseille have confirmed the signing of Frederic Dehu from Paris Saint Germain.
Dehu confirmed at the end of the season that he would move on from capital club PSG in the summer and Marseille were quick to step in with an offer.
Terms were swiftly agreed, but a minor wrangle over his contract prevented Marseille from concluding the deal at the same time as the capture of Benoit Pedretti from Sochaux.
However, club president Christophe Bouchet confirmed on Wednesday that the deal had been ratified, allowing Dehu to pen his two-year contract.
"He is an Olympian," Bouchet told the club's website. "The contract has been approved by the league."
