Toulouse keeper Nicolas Douchez is keeping his feet firmly on the ground after keeping an impressive four consecutive Ligue 1 clean sheets.
Douchez has helped Toulouse climb to fourth in the table, but the shot-stopper believes a close-knit unit is the main reason for their recent form.
"I made a couple of decisive saves (against Valenciennes). I am happy to have been useful. It's good for morale and confidence," he told But.
"At the end of the match coach Antoine Kombouare came to congratulate me. It is rare, but I am not surprised because he's a very nice person.
"Undeniably, I am also responsible for our good defensive performances. But there is a big solidarity in the group. We know that defence is the basis of our solidity."
Johan Elmander saw red at Valenciennes last Saturday, but Douchez believes Toulouse have the cover for the Sweden international.
"Elmander always offers us solutions in attack and creates chances. I am surprised by the red card he received against Valenciennes," he continued.
"He is not an aggressive player. I think that the referee made a mistake by sending him off. We are going to miss him but I am confident we have the cover."
