Toulouse star Jeremy Mathieu looks set to be sidelined for several weeks with an ankle injury.
The left-sided player had to be replaced 60 minutes into Toulouse's 1-0 defeat at Auxerre following a clash with Benoit Pedretti.
Club doctors have stated that he sprained his ankle quite seriously, but further tests will have to be carried out to determine how long he will be out for.
The talented 23-year-old has been inspirational in Toulouse's impressive start to the season, and has even been linked with a move to Roma.
