Bordeaux keeper admits summer exit could be on the cards

Cedric Carrasso is aware of mounting interest in his services and admits he has a tough decision to make. The Bordeaux goalkeeper is believed to be drawing admiring glances from Bayern Munich, Schalke and Aston Villa, with a number of assured displays over recent years helping to raise his profile. The 29-year-old is still under contract in his native France for another two years, but Bordeaux's hand could be forced by an enticing offer. Carrasso does not expect any deal to be done until at least the summer, but acknowledges that he could be on his way at the end of the season if his ambition cannot be matched at Stade Chaban Delmas. "I have probably made the steadiest start to a season in my career," he told France Football.

Ambition

"I needed one year to adapt properly at Bordeaux and I feel I have done that. "I came here to play in the Champions League and to go as far as possible in Europe. "I am 29 years old, though, and I have other ambitions and not a lot of time in which to achieve them. "I will be forced to think hard about my future at the end of the season. "Today I am 100 per cent committed to Bordeaux but, taking our final standing into account, I will have an important decision to make in June."
