Bordeaux striker David Bellion has agreed a new three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club. The former Sunderland and Manchester United front man will stay with the French side until 2014. Bellion, 28, joined Bordeaux in 2007 after spending five months on-loan with league rivals Nice. The experienced striker admitted his delight in agreeing a new deal having settled in France since his switch from the Premier League.

Pleased

"I am delighted to sign my new contract here," he told skysports.com "I love this club and I will get more chances to play in this fantastic team. "I had some contacts but I did not want to move for moving sake, I am happy here and I want to play for a team who fight for silverware. I got that mentality during my time with Manchester United."
