Chelsea target staying put

Le Havre have insisted that they have no plans to sell star striker Guillaume Hoarau. Chelsea have been checking on the 23-year-old striker along with the likes of Monaco and Marseille. Hoarau's exploits in the French second division have caught the eye this term as he has grabbed 14 goals so far. Now despite the big interest, Le Havre have insisted that Hoarau will not be allowed to leave in the January transfer window and will be staying until next summer at least.

No move

"He is untransferable," declared Le Havre chairman Jean-Pierre Louvel. Louvel says the club will try and get Hoarau to pen a new deal. "We will talk with his agent about a contract prolongation," he said. "But the player seems keen to go on an adventure, so we have planned to meet again during the winter break."
