According to reports in the French press, Marseille director of sports Jose Anigo has decided against offering a contract to David Jemmali.
The Bordeaux right-back looked set to be offered the chance to join l'OM on a two-year deal, but Anigo has reportedly made a U-turn.
Marseille have now ruled out the signing him because the 32-year-old wants to play for Tunisia in next January's African Cup of Nations.
Jemmali, who has been with Bordeaux for the past ten years, is yet to be offered a contract extension at the Stade Chaban-Delmas.
The veteran defender is disappointed with his treatment and could leave Les Girondins at the end of the current campaign.
Toulouse are still waiting in the wings to sign Jemmali, with the prospect of working with former coach Elie Baup.
