Brazilian midfielder Ferreyra Jussie is delighted to be embarking on a new challenge with Bordeaux.
Bordeaux beat the transfer deadline to sign Jussie on loan from Lens until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent contract.
Jussie claims he refused to move to Paris Saint Germain because he would have been the only Brazilian, and preferred to be part of Bordeaux's South American group.
"I am very happy to move because my family didn't like the cold weather," Jussie declared.
"I have been thinking about a move from Lens for a long time.
"There are moments in life when choices have to be made.
"Even if things have been decided at the last moment with Bordeaux, it was my choice.
"I hope I will bring a lot. Bordeaux are a great club, a big city and my friend Wendel, who I have known for a long time, told me a lot about life here.
"I received an offer from Paris. I told my agent about it and we finally chose Bordeaux because there are a lot of Brazilians here."
