Bonaventure Kalou has insisted he has no intention of leaving Paris Saint Germain, but Bordeaux have expressed an interest in signing him in January.
Speculation has suggested that the Ivory Coast international may be tempted to look for another option in the New Year if Marcelo Gallardo arrives at Parc des Princes.
And Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has admitted that his club are monitoring the situation.
"Kalou isn't a bad idea," said Triaud. "He is a very good player, but I don't know if PSG will sell him."
Kalou maintains that he is committed to PSG and is determined to help the club through their difficult period.
"My aim is to become essential for PSG, and indeed slowly I feel I am achieving this.
"I won't leave during the winter transfer window. The club is in a difficult situation and I won't run away from difficulty."
