Lachuer looks to Bordeaux

Auxerre captain Yann Lachuer could join Bordeaux at the end of the season.

Auxerre captain Yann Lachuer could join Bordeaux at the end of the season, although Marc Planus may be leaving the club.

Lachuer is considering his future at Auxerre and is seriously contemplating a switch to Bordeaux.

The experienced midfielder confirmed the interest from Bordeaux and will hold further talks with the UEFA Champions League hopefuls in the coming days.

"Yes, I have had contacts with Les Girondins," Lachuer told But.

"(Bordeaux chief) Ricardo knows me very well. He was my coach at Paris Saint Germain.

"We will talk again next week."

But while Bordeaux are looking to recruit Lachuer, the club may have to swallow the departure of key defender Planus.

Monaco and PSG are both keen on the stopper and Planus is open to the possibility of a move, despite his affection for Bordeaux.

Planus said: "I talked with my entourage and I met people who showed me some interest.

"I am happy at Bordeaux, where I am under contract until 2008, but at a certain time, you have to change.

"Actually the door has been open since November, some people know it. I have made no decision.

"If it is not necessarily better somewhere else, it is just different."
