St Etienne are considering a swoop for Argentine star Lucas Castroman.
Les Verts need a playmaker and are looking at the possibility of landing Castroman.
As well as the former Lazio man, coach Elie Baup is also looking at Paris Saint Germain's Fabrice Pancrate.
Pancrate is looking for first team football and a move to Auxerre now looks unlikely, meaning a move to St Etienne is now his only real option.
Baup is also looking for a right back and another Argentine name has emerged as a possible signing in the shape of Pablo Ferrari - although Bordeaux's David Jemmali is another option.
