Brazilian full-back poised to make Barca exit

Barcelona's out-of-favour full-back Maxwell is searching for a route out of Camp Nou and is hoping to complete a switch to Paris St Germain. The Brazilian defender claims to have already received an offer from the Ligue 1 leaders, and he is keen to accept. He has struggled for regular first team football throughout his time in Catalunya, but has played his part in a glittering era for Barca. Should he leave the club during the winter window, he will head for pastures new with 10 winners' medals to his name. Success can only be enjoyed if you are a big part of it, though, and Maxwell feels the time has come to take on a new challenge.

Agreement

"Maxwell came to see us and he told us he had an offer from PSG and he would like to accept it," said Barca boss Pep Guardiola. "He wants to leave and if he reaches an agreement the club will not stand in the way." While Maxwell could soon be on his way to PSG, one player has been moved out of Parc des Princes. Teenage defender Loick Landre has been allowed to link up with Ligue 2 side Clermont until the end of the season.
