Peter Odemwingie pulled a goal back for Lille on 52 minutes, but Pierre-Alain Frau restored the three-goal cushion seconds later.
Abdulkader Keita reduced the arrears on 70 minutes to give Lille some hope.
The game ended on a sour note when Lens' Yohan Demont and Lille substitute Kevin Maralas were sent off in the final minute.
