Stuttgart survived a second leg scare at Domzale to progress to the group stage of the Uefa Cup with a 2-1 aggregate victory.

Leading 2-0 from the first leg the Germans travelled to Slovenia in confident mood but Dalibor Stevanovic's 16th minute strike halved the arrears.

The home side's cause was hampered by the dismissal of Luka Elsner in the 66th minute and despite late pressure, they could not add the all-important second goal.

That setback deflated the hosts who lost their discipline and two more goals to Veroljub Salatic and Luis Rogerio.

Lokomotiv Moscow progressed 5-3 on aggregate over Brann but we made to work hard for their passage by the Norwegians in a 3-2 Lokomotiv success in Moscow.

A draw seemed an unlikely outcome when the visitors were reduced to ten men after just thirty minutes with Hokan Opdal seeing red, however Dylan MacAllister gave Brann a shock lead on the stroke of half time.

Dimtri Loskov struck a 63rd minute equaliser for Lokomotiv before Charlie Miller restored the visitors' lead ten minutes later to tie the aggregate score.

Barry Van Galen equalised just before half time although it was not until Adamu received his marching orders in the 71st minute that AZ took advantage.

Stein Huyesgem's strike ten minutes from time left the Dutch side needing one more goal to progress.
