Lens playmaker Jerome Leroy has been named Ligue 1 player of the month for August.
The Sang et Or captain has made an impressive start to the season, orchestrating the Lens attack who are top scorers in France with 19 goals to their name already.
Leroy received the award before his side's goalless draw with Rennes on Sunday.
Paris St Germain striker Pedro Pauleta and Lyon's John Carew also received nominations for the award.
