Daniel Cousin has threatened to leave Lens as Danijel Ljuboja emerges as a target for Sang et Or.

Lens are facing up to the prospect of losing several players before the close of the transfer window, with Eric Carriere, Patrick Barul and Nicolas Gillet tipped to leave.

Cousin could join the exodus after the striker revealed his frustration at not being in the starting line-up.

The 28-year-old has come off the substitutes' bench in both Lens' Ligue 1 games this season and is unhappy with his situation.

"I went and met the coach because I didn't play a lot," Cousin told But!. "He said he rather relies on me as a joker.

"I could tell myself this season will be long and I will get opportunities to play but I am not in such a state of mind.

"I want to play and feel the confidence of a club. Now my mind is focused on somewhere else.

"I want to leave and bounce back in another club. I already have contacts in Ligue 1."

Paris Saint Germain forward Ljuboja has been mooted as a replacement for Cousin, while Lens also hope to retain the services of Manchester City target Olivier Thomert.
