Marseille moved into second spot in Ligue 1 with a slender victory at Bastia.
Benoit Pedretti scored the only goal of the game on 63 minutes to lift l'OM to within six points of leaders, and reigning champions, Lyon.
Toulouse left it late before overcoming Bordeaux at home, with Daniel Moreira netting the solitary goal on 78 minutes.
Rennes remain firmly in the top half of the table after they crushed Nice 4-1 at home.
After a scoreless first period, the game came to life in the second half as Toifilou Maoulida put Rennes ahead on 47 minutes.
Florent Balmont levelled the scores on the hour mark before Alexander Frei restored Rennes' advantage midway through the second half.
Olivier Monterrubio made it 3-1 on 74 minutes and three minutes later Maoulida grabbed his second of the game.
Lens scored in each half as they beat Nantes 2-0 at home. Daniel Cousin broke the deadlock on 24 minutes and Eric Carriere wrapped up the win on 75 minutes.
The big relegation battle between Caen and Ajaccio produced a result which helps neither side as they played out a 2-2 draw.
All the goals arrived in a frenetic first half which saw both teams in front before they had to settle for a stalemate.
The visitors took the lead through Andre Luis on nine minutes before Caen levelled two minutes later through Sebastien Mazure.
On the half hour mark, Mazure put Caen in front but within 60 seconds Ajaccio had done enough to snare a point as Waldir netted.
Strasbourg boosted their hopes of survival with a comfortable 3-1 triumph at home to Paris Saint Germain.
Mamadou Niang put the hosts in front on 20 minutes and Mickael Pagis's 36th minute penalty stretched their lead.
Yacine Abdessadki (pictured) further extended Strasbourg's advantage on 63 minutes as the home team coasted towards the three points.
PSG did secure a late consolation when Pascal Johansen put through his own net but the win keeps Strasbourg away from the drop zone.
